Town hall meetings for seniors, families

Older adults and their families looking to have a lasting impact on the way long-term care and other support services are delivered in Washtenaw County are invited to attend town hall meetings organized by the Blueprint for Aging. Time, locations and dates include:

10 a.m.-noon Sept. 20 at Lincoln Senior Center, 8970 Whittaker Road.
3-5 p.m. Sept. 23 at Milan Senior Center, 45 Neckel Court.
Noon-2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Pittsfield Senior Center, 701 W. Ellsworth Road.
10 a.m.-noon Sept. 27 at Northfield Senior Center, 9101 Main St.
2-4 p.m. Sept. 27 at East Clark Towers, 1550 E. Clark Road.
10 a.m.-noon Sept. 28 at Washtenaw County Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled, 4135 Washtenaw Ave., in the County Service Center at the corner of Carpenter and Hogback roads.
10 a.m.-noon Sept. 28 at Scio Farms, 6655 Jackson Road.
2-4 p.m. Sept. 29 at Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor St.
10 a.m.-noon Sept. 30 at Saline Senior Center, 7605 N. Maple Road.

All town hall meetings are free and open to the public. No pre-registration is needed. All service providers in the area of aging services are asked to encourage older adults and caregivers with whom they work to attend. Assistance, such as with transportation, would be very valuable.

Those who are unable to attend a town hall meeting are asked to complete a “Priority Setting Poll,” which includes the list of priorities that will be discussed at each town hall meeting.
